Well, 48 hours later, are you going to spill the beans? Or will mine be the only multi-word post in this thread?

Not the only one. But I did notice that we were in the “men of few words” department. Not exactly informative.

Jury still out, it does show how good a single tundra passive is.
Both very tuneful and involving, still a hint of digitalness in the higher frequencies, this manifests itself in a slightly cold way, whereas passive is warmer presentation.
Having OCD I don't think I could live with the rats nest of cabling.
More difficult to optimise multiple amps, as in interconnects rack shelving
Probably the best I've heard from exakt, having previously had non katalyst klimax tuneboxes with klimax solos.
As it is not a clear 100% better couldnt justify the extra expense.
Surprisingly the integrated exakt version is very good.
Overall tundra 2.5 passive is the sweet spot.

When you say single tundra passive, was that with the KDS3 digital volume control? I'd expect a Sagatun to help passive things along a bit, without threatening too much to pop the sweet spot, add to the rat's nest or dent the bank balance compared against the exakt setup. And was that all with SO on or off?

Just trying to remember back to my 5 x Tundra 2.2 with Klimax Exaktboxes with Kat in old demo room - it was a huge soundstage but remember an LP12 source was much better than DS streaming. What streaming are you using Tidal? What NAS ? Do you have a multi storey car park near you to drop by in a Jaguar? Can visit with Devialet Expert Pro 1000 for a decent shootout and/or bring the underdog Kudos 606 speakers requiring 2 x Tundra’s :-)

Let’s sell more Tundra’s hey

I'm not sure many will understand that stream of consciousness post Chris!

Do you think two Tundras (with no greengrocer apostrophes :-)) will be able to drive Kudos 606s. My dem of 606s with a single Stereo 2.2 was the only time I have heard a Tundra clipping. Sadly a Tundra doesn't have enough oomph to drive these power hungry Kudos beasts passive.

KDS3/Sagatun Monos/just upgraded Tundra Stereo 2.5 /Akubariks is awesome. More to follow soon, probably in the separate 2.5 thread.

I look forward to reading in awe - thanks 'tech2 :) Will that include any comparisons, such as DVC v Sagatun Monos, and with & without SO, or just unadulterated passive awesomeness ;)

Quick question, in advance of your post: is the 2.5 in place of, or second system to your (greengrocer-less ;) Tundra Monos?

With SO, dialled back a touch.

It’s an experiment in place of the Monos. They’ll go back in for comparison after a week or so.

Absolutely, are you enjoying the bass control and new energy.
This system is incredible, and has surprised those, who have listened to mine

I did use the DVC, Tidal, and music saved on a laptop. Also used s.o. on both systems, and without on both systems.
I have for long time not used space, but recently retried it with successful results.
My main indicator of a good system, is when I play track after track and am not distracted by a good programme on tv.
