Recently (well I do not post that often...) I added a second cable to my sub (Akurate) and to my surprise the difference where staggering. I have not read any discussions here or on selleri on the subject til now so I did not expect any miracle just to put the final iceing on the cake. This is probably not news for most of you, but as I surely would have appreciate this info I thought there might be others in the same position. To make the post complete I should probably add that I have not disconnected the shield/earth from any connector (to prevent from ground loops), but on the other hand I went great lengths to keep the two cables as close to each other as possible.
I have the sub positioned inbetween the main speakers which also may have influenced the result. Anyway, I am pleased with the result now and also rather surprised by the performance of the 221-sub (it is a very small sub and in a big 60+m2 room!)
