How to clean vinyl records

some say the bristles come off onto the record / scratch the record. I would think this is someone being very firm or someone having the occassional faulty one, so will likely ignore that feedback, but before I order - have you any such bad experience?

I have never had any issues with bristles coming off and certainly never any damage to the records using my brush.

If you search amazon.uk you will see that there are a bunch of companies selling essentially the same brush.

I'm not sure all the lookalikes are the same but I would bet the ones by AT, AudioQuest, Thakker, Spincare, Project, etc. that look alike are all made by the same Chinese company which paints whatever logo you want on it. Some of the cheap no-name units might also be the same. I have found the AudioQuest to work fine and not lose bristles.

The one I use is a newer AudioQuest which is a little more expensive. They claim that the gold plated inserts on the sides ground the carbon fibers to your hand. Does it work? No idea, but it does the job just fine and is reasonably priced so what the hey! (Plus we sell Audioquest so I got it cheap.) Here is the link for it:

I've bought multiple ones branded by audio companies, music stores etc. Cosmetically they're identical to the ones sold on Aliexpress. The price difference of less than £5 to £15 is a no brainer for a Scot - I know where Ivor would go ;-)

I may well get the gold audioquest one. I can't argue with the logic that the same factories are making it for several companies, but also have enough experience to know that sometimes they use a slightly different spec. Anyway It is £1 cheaper (yes!) than the Audio Technica on Amazon.
