A question to all music lovers :-)

Post by beck »

A sommer question to all on this forum:

Which clarinet do you prefer? Listen to what he plays and imagine it was a piece of music. What sound tells the best story?

There is no right or wrong. Just listen and find the sound you love the most. :-)

Thanks, that was fun!

I like the Prestige as well. It seems to go deep and is also very gentle.

A little info about the clarinets he is trying out. The first (the Prestige) is the last Pro clarinet from Buffet using the old bore from the RC (reference class) clarinet. The bore allows the player to blow freely and still get good intonation.
The two others (the Festival and the Tradition) uses the newer bore from the Tosca clarinet which is more focused getting even better intonation but less free blowing.
That can actually be heard when he is playing.
