Russell K Red speakers

Post by erho »

Hi, anyone heard the Russell K Red 100 or 50? Would they be an alternative to Majik 109s?

Hi

Yes actually heard them in Russell's basement test room.

Not many speakers other than Linn leave an impression on me, but they certainly did.
If you do not wish to go aktiv, i definitely recommend a listen, i really enjoyed both the 50 and 100. This was using my kds2 and tundra stereo.

Thanks anthony,

would in your opinion the 50s fill a room of 20qm?

Did you hear the 150 Tony? Competition for your beloved 242s or more like 140 level?

I did hear them, but at the time there was a problem.
Hope to hear them again very soon.

They would fill it as much as a 109 would, but they are both small speakers.

They can both belie their diminutive size.

Good review of the small stand mount with lots of Kan references:
