A customer of mine just stopped in with a copy of the August 2008 "Stereo" magazine from Germany. I can't read German so I couldn't make much of a lot of it but the interesting thing is that they tested all 4 Linn DS products. If I got the summaries correct it looks like they gave them percentage ratings for sound quality. The ratings are as follows:
Klimax DS 100%
Akurate DS 90%
Majik DS 86%
Sneaky DS 75%
The Klimax and Akurate were rated 3 stars for what appears to be the value rating while the Majik and Sneaky were rated 4 stars.
What I find interesting is the closeness of the ratings of the Akurate DS and the Majik DS. If they are right it would obviously make the Majik DS a great value for the money.
I thought it would be interesting to see what you think of the ratings. Has anyone had a chance to compare all four? How do you feel they compare? It would be great if anyone who has had a chance to compare a couple of the DS units could give their impressions.
