Listening on headphones from phone browser while travelling on a tram to work .... I was torn between B and C.

B has a more engaging sound - it immediately grabbed my attention - but after a couple of listens I found C draws me into the music more.

So my preference:
1. C
2. B
3. A

It's between A or C. I think I pick C.

I am torn between A and B.

A feels tighter. B is very melodic but seems to smear the notes a bit. C smears them even more and I have trouble enjoying it.

I like B, it conveys the dreamy quality best at the beginning and bounces along nicely. A was very good to, C I didn't like at all.

The passing of cars in the night outside the window kind of suits the song.

I agree. C was out quickly.

Went back and forth with A & C and I feel A is still the overall better performance. In other words with A I find myself simply enjoying the song as a whole, and with C I'm continually being directed to different individual characteristics of the song.

This was a bit of a tough one and I went back and forth between A and B a lot. I don't care for C and found it a significant step below A and B. Both A and B are quite good and I have a hard time picking purely by tune method as there they are quite close there overall. At first I was leaning toward A for the tight. clean sound but the more I listen back and forth the more I like B for the musicality and also it seems to sort out the bass better. If I had to choose just one I think I'd go for B but would love a combination of both their qualities.

I did try to compare last night but C was taking forever to upload. Needn't have worried though as I preferred A and B over C like everyone else.

A is more my type of sound, less impressive than B but just made more sense and was more enjoyable.

I struggled a bit between A and B, but ultimately I preferred B, the reason b-ing I never really liked this song, yet with B I kinda forgot that and kept listening longer than was necessary. It's possible this could have happened with A had I listened in a different order, so close are the two. C's instruments sound more "real" than the other two, but there's no cohesiveness to the performance...just discrete sounds.

It took some time listening to all three, but I finally finished. There are elements of both A and B that appeal to me, but it's difficult to say which is actually better sounding overall to my ears.

The order for me could be either A followed by B, or B followed by A...with C being a distant third in both cases.

Having read the comments and listening again, I can understand why most people thinking a combination of A & B’s best bits might be the best overall. I still have a preference for what I hear as B’s musicality, but what’s really interesting for me is that a solid core cable is really snapping at the heals of our favourite speaker cable. This rarely ever happens, so it feels like further experimentation with solid core cables could be time well spent!

I prefer B to A - it is more musical/enjoyable to me.

I agree about the smearing of the notes in B and the tighter notes in A - but compared to the musicality, it is relatively unimportant to me.

A combination would be good, but only if does not take anything away from the musicality.

As with others, C is a distant third and I don't really get on with it at all.

Listening to A & B again just now -this time I started fresh with "B" first- and I find myself just getting bogged down in B's boringly plodding along, thinking when is this song going to start? Whereas by comparison with "A" the song pulls you in immediately on the first note & hits more of the right musical cues as it progresses, is it perfect?, no, bass a slight issue?, yes, but I find it simply more in tune than B overall, and B is more in tune than C.

...And one shouldn't get too caught up in what wires are "supposed" to do or "sound" like as every system setup is different and it pays to experiment if you have the time. Although I admit I am a little surprised here that the solid core is working as well as it seems to be here in this particular A/B and wonder how K20 would sound, I never had any luck personally with solid core, but then again Digital seems to be a whole nother story.

Seems to take some time to get it uploading
Hi Sopper!

I'm not sure I understood what it was that we were comparing here. Was it speaker cables? If so, how long were they and how were they terminated?

Or was it the internal wiring of a power strip?

B was K400
C is Elecaudio OCC very fine stranded

In room C is the best for my taste
