Thanks beck.

What I don't understand is if this is a Naim/Lingo issue (fixed in the L1 with removal of the filter) or a shifting of Linn's focus and my brain preferring their old 'foot tapping' style.

L1: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tc38vk8qksux5 ... 5.mp4?dl=0
L2: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nmicvv7redch8 ... 5.mp4?dl=0

Not sure the fundamental musical difference comes across in these clips.

Both Lingos powered on for a couple of days.

Not a numbered 60s copy but a 70s/80s repress :)

Ha, I can hear it from the first clap and your Ittok, Adikt Sondek would give it even more “get up and go”.......

To me it is as if the L2 is ironing small dynamic differences out making it all more polite......

That's good to know - thanks beck. I will listen again with your idea in mind.

Another factor is that the L2 was developed with a Cirkus bearing which is more dynamic than mine and might balance things out better. I still think there's something musically fundamental about the L1 that I prefer.

I think that's the best clip I've heard from you yet.
Yeah, I'm liking how that clip sounds. You might say the music just radiates out.

Ah, but you've been central to the playground; not accepting a boiler-plate system; plumbing the depths of vintage gear, 'furnacing' us with so many clips... ;)

A/C! Using your spare time to elaborate on my comment and punishing us with these. I'm going have to heat things up with a little competition before you steamroll my reputation. Sorry if I vented a bit I guess I just got a bit hot under the collar. (That's enough, I don't think I should even branch out into plumbing.)

I didn't mean for my post to gaslight anyone; it certainly wasn't meant to enflame, or raise your temperature - please accept my apology: oil be upset if you don't. Maybe this should be the end of the exchange, and we both just cool things?

Charlie1, to be done with the witty guys here just make a shelf above the radiator and a curtain that can be pulled across hanging from it.
When making a clip you can then use it and place some records above on the shelf. When finished you can open it up again for the heat to spread out. :-)

I don't think there is any way to drape things so as to end the punishment. I'd say it is curtains for that idea and it should probably just be shelved. (See what I mean.) ;-)

PS. It might warp the records, too.

Problem with curtains is there's often strings attached...

Well, he has spent years studying The Force - down to fractions of a newton meter.

He does have very fine use of The Force - down to fractions of a newton meter I believe.

I was going to say "these *are* the torques you are looking for", but then O'Kee-wan admitted he'd turned to the dark side - it's inSidious. At least that explains why DSotM sounds good on the LP12 ;)
