I ordered the new table direct from John W.
Will leave mana now and try other supports. My troika is dead so I need to get another pickup.

It would have been easier if I had listened to E2/F2 first as the hype to the piano sound and the disruption to the flow on E2 was immediately obvious. But I'm glad I didn't even though I had to go back and forth a few times on Grace Jones. The extra dynamic bump on E1 was somewhat fun and made me want to move. But after listening to both tracks a few times I found that F1 was just as danceable and Grace's vocals had more feel to them and were more in tune. The Grace Jones on F1 is definitely the one I'd want to pull up to my bumper baby.

unfortunately I was reading Tokenbrit’s answer before I listened so I am not sure if that influenced the outcome but I prefer A too. Impressive for a CD-Player.

I didnt read down b4 listening and also preferred A which I think is both a sonic and musical improvement over B. On B, the bass seems somewhat detached ftom the rest and I found it harder to follow the music as a whole.

Just one more piece of “blu-tack” placed at a cable-end where it connects to the next device. It is all trial and error trying to minimise the effect vibrations transported by cables (that connects directly or indirectly to the cd player) have on the cd player when playing a cd.

All I use is blu-tack, felt and a special kind of rubber I was lucky to find a long time ago on a cheap wheel dolly (transport device for furniture) when experimenting with setup.

A small correction seems to give me just a little more of what I am looking for compared to clip A) above.

C) https://www.dropbox.com/s/kntduyzza4isp ... 8.mov?dl=0

The cd used making clip A,B and C is an old AAD cd digitally remastered in 1987.

A little too far: a bit tight musically, lost some flow...?!?

Yep, I like C better than A. Not day and night but a definite improvement.

Now I have a different pickup after my Goldring Troika was gone. Do you hear which pickup that is used right now?

I prefer the G clips. The H’s sound a like a typical AT mc.

No idea what the mystery cart is and which clip it is - hopefully G :)

You may call me crazy, bit I prefer the H-clips. I hear more of a groove in H1 and can't really get past the splashy cymbals in G1. H2 moves me more than G2.

I prefer the G clips, especially the better timing, although the pickup sounds worn out.

I prefer G1 over H1. A lot actually.

I find the timing confused in H1, for instance the cymbals aren’t driving the song forward. That it’s overall brighter I don’t care about.

Great song by the Swedish band Kent! I remember when I first heard it and was completely blown away.
