Had to download, and rename to keep the clips separate...

Song 1
Probably B. Possibly 1. (less between the drives (1/2) than the correction (A/B))

Song 2
Possibly B. Probably 1. (more between the drives this time, but less decided on the correction - maybe Celine doesn't need any because she's perfect as she is :)

Sorry to report the same on a Samsung phone - same message.

What about dropbox? - most of us just use the free version of that and never have any issues with it.

I prefer 1,A on both songs. The music simply hits me harder and feels less artificial.

I feel that 8 clips in one post is way too much and I prefer to compare one thing at a time. Nevertheless, I gave the first song a try.

I prefer B over A. I find the difference between Drive1 and Drive2 too small to tell.

Hi Frederick, thank you so much for your input and feedback. Greatly appreciated. 🙏🙏🙏

I agree, next time, I will put much less clips to compare.....

I had a quick listen to track 1 and decided there wasn't enough going on for me so I moved to track 2 where I hear things like beck and prefer 1A.

With most folks preferring B, i went back to track 1 and tried that. Have to say that 1B works better for me on that track.

So, not very helpful really. My gut feeling is they are both pretty close to a line where I can fall into either the beck camp or tokenbrit camp, for lack of a better explanation.

What do you think am999 ?

Hi Charlie, greatly appreciated for taking time to try even after a few error of not playing the files.

Me personally, I prefer 1B, I feel it is easier to follow the melody because the contrast.

So, here are the parameter.

Drive 1 - Samsung SH-224DB
Drive 2 - Yamaha CRW2100E

A - Non Correction
B - With correction

All being ripped by itunes, ALAC lossless.

Thanks Ken.

What is being corrected? The copy? If so, isn't there some sort of checksum anyway?

With you (& beck) on that: song 1 seemed better with correction (as it turns out) but song 2 was really tough to call... I didn't fancy splitting my vote between A&B so stuck with B, but there was an easy, musicality to Celine without correction, hence my comment about her not needing it.

If it were me, I'd use the Samsung drive and iTunes without correction, even tho I chose B, if that makes sense. (if a rip needs correction, that's the fault of the recording or cd, not a reason to turn correction on, imo)

I find A to be "softer" maybe it can match with such faster type of song, just my opinion.

Me personally still prefer B, just because I can easily see the contrast the melody and easier to follow the tune

Fun is what we need!

I love that we can share our passion for music through clips. It is a gift to be able to listen to all kinds of systems playing even if it is only through video recordings. :-)
