Yes, I can absolutely recommend it. I can even hear the hum from the tape recorder. Ohh, I forgot. THIS IS NOT THE LINN FORUM! :-)

I bought the Emily Barker 'The Toerag Sessions' LP and whilst it's good, I did miss the touch of a talented producer. I just think they can add so much more atmosphere and interest to music. Stripped down makes a nice change but I think that sometimes 'more is more', not 'less is more'. Just my 2pc. I will still come back and listen more to these Youtube recordings when I get a chance though.

I do share your view but stripped down is a nice change once in a while. I got both albums and will say that this one has the edge music and SQ wise.

I've just got two new Eleanor McEvoy LPs. I've already got several, but these two are very special, and fully analogue.

Naked Music is the new release, and Yola is from 2001. Both strongly recommended. Actually, I think they are both better than the other five that I've had for some time.....

Glad you've taken the plunge! Let us know what you think - if you like the new one, I think that Yola is a little better musically, if not technically - the big advantage of Naked Music is that it reprises several songs from previous albums in more intimate arrangements/recording.

'yola' , even in cd format is a great recording - now waiting for the 'naked music 'CD to arrive.

Will the order the LPs once both are on the NAS drive.

Thanks for the tip - another fantastic female vocalist/ musician.

I've not got any of her work. 'If You Leave' and 'Naked Music' seem easy enough to pick up on vinyl. Which do you folks think is the better album of the two?

The Studio Konzert LPs are direct to 2-track completely analogue productions. Very nice.

I've listened once so far and like it. Thanks for the recommendation. Sounds good too. Nice that it's just a single LP as well.

I really like this which is also all-analogue and female singer songwriter playing acoustic guitar (mostly) although Amazon is out of copies at the moment:

Finally I got my copy and it is one more record that tells us that analog recordings create the most natural sound we can get our hands on. Lovely.

Just sitting listening to her voice with acustic, electric guitar and a capella. Then suddenly the most wonderful sound from a rhodes piano in the number "Half Out of Habit". I really like it!

I only have naked music on digital and it is indeed a really good album and a superb recording.

Yola is just as good a recording, and in my opinion even better musically . Could not stop listening for two weeks and drove my daughters mad. My son loved it even after two weeks. The piano accompanying the vocals is just sublime on some of the tracks.

If you can find this on vinyl - don't hesitate In joining me.

Great recommendation.

I will but I cannot find it at the moment.

This is the record (Naked Music) of the ones mentioned in this tread that I am going to play again and again. It is music that grabs me. She really has got something speciel and the sound is superb!
I cannot wait to get my hands on "Yola". :-)
