I have the impression there is not so much that can be done to improve the filter of the 3677!

The 3677's is now SOOOO much better it's hard to believe!
Every aspect is improved.
That said, the 3677's on piles of books were already wonderful.
The stands is a MUST HAVE. The performance is at-least twice as good, if now more.
Linnofil, I thank you from the bottom of my heart :)
These stands going to be a huge seller together with the 3677.
I never heard anything remotely close - this is live...the real deal...just music. It simply flows.
Nobody that hear these speakers going to resist. They are a must have.
ML, can you or Linnofil please post a picture of the stands?
Thanks.
Of course, the ultimate option would seem to me to be Fredrik making an active crossover with subwoofer summing section. Imagine what these things could do with the proper crossover and four (or five) TM2 amps!
Quite the satellite/subwoofer system, don't you think? :-)

Some pics from my modification where I replaced all local wiring with split K400's and put the X-overs in a wooden box outside the speakers.
Get these banana socket's (female), red and black ones.

Remove the plastic plate from the 3677. On the back side is the X-over attached. Take plenty of pics and document all cables/colures. Cut all wires and remove the X-over.

Take pics inside the speaker and then remove the treble horn and bass unit.
Remove the X-over from the plastic plate, drill holes and mount the banana socket's

Good point!
We have been using the name K200 when we split K400, but now when Linn released the "silver K200" we have to be careful.
I now updated my posts.
Hoping to hear these speakers soon, along with the Linnofil stands too! It's possible I might decide to sell my Isobarik speakers and stands, to purchase the JBL's and stands...if I can live with less bass.

1) we haven't tested yet. The cable I use is app 1m
2) I use the 2.48m from Lejonklou, we believe that is the one to use. But again, not evaluated.
Thanks,
what happens musically with the external crossover?
Have all the "3677 forum members" now switched to the external crossover?
I think it's only me end Christian. But Eric started planning for it.
You obtain a better insight into the music and also better sound. The X-over is VERY sensitive regarding placement, a good rack is going to further enhance the performance.

You forgot about me. I posted a photo of one of my crossovers in the wood box and info on what I did on the previous page of this thread.

NOTE
Inside the 3677, I use the "split K400" WITH the black plastic coating still in place. This to hold the hot and neutral cable strands in place, keeping the rotation and distance between them correct.
According to Fredrik, this is important so I just adapted :)

Same here. I've even taken to twisting the small ends where they connect to the amp and the speakers, although I haven't A/B compared the outcome yet.

But wouldn't that make it the mark 3 version of Linn K400? ;-)
Maybe we should take a page out of the book by one of my favorite styli cleaners and call it Original K200!
