Hi, I'm moving to a place where I can't connect my DS directly to the router. Or I can but that will require a lot of work with long cables and lists(20m)
Has anybody had any experience with wifi extending accesspoints, connected to the router via antenna or wall outlet connecion. Will this make it impossible to use the 50ms setting in songcast for movies?
Which one of my to options are most stable?
Will this affect the music?

I am told by various reliable sources that it is detrimental to send music via the mains.

Sounds like Scottish Power shouldn't set up their own streaming services then?
This might put off Dose as well: -

I'd strongly recommend using a cabled connection into the room. Worth thinking outside of the box though. You may find that a 20m link internally could be replaced by a 5m cable running outside of the house using exterior grade cable.
I did that in several cases myself and it was much easier.

Ok, I'll have a closer look at my possibilities when I have moved in. Maybe I'll give accesspiont over wifi a try, since I'm gonna use wifi anyway when using songcast and airplay. But if i get dropouts or degraded music quality I'll go over to cable.
