Advice needed

Post by Starman »

My current system is Klimax DS ,Klimax control,Majik 6100 amp Active 109's and my LP12 with black shoe box lingo and Kinki phono.
I now need to relocate my ssytem and get rid of the cables.
I dont wish to spend 15K on Linn Akubariks just now,so I had a demo of Adam's Pencil speakers ,which were very good ,but still quite pricey.
So I am thinking about going for the smaller Artist 6 Active ,and improve my LP12 with a keel and then when funds allow , then upgrade the speakers .
Thoughts and advice appreciated .

I would upgrade lingo, to a later version, or radikal. Consider a Klimax twin, or Lejonklou Tundra, and single wire to speakers of your choice

Cirkus or the new Kore?

Radikal is fantastic. One of Linn's best products ever.

Never heard of those speakers, interesting!

The speakers are made in Germany . Adams are very big on the professional monitors ,but fairly new in the domestic market.
These speakers gave 3 x 35w amps in each speaker .
Cost £978 for the pair .
They are a good stop gap for me and sound better than the 109''s that I had .

Radikal upgrade etc

Now received my upgraded LP12 , cirkus , trampoline and Radikal and new speakers.
Everything is much cleaner and defined.
The most notable difference is being able to have the volume on as low as 35 rather than the 60+ that was required with my old shoe box lingo
