Hi! I used to buy Netgear religiously but I found I had problems with every item, particularly overheating. I've recently got rid of ProSafe GS116 which required power cycling every 2 months or so as it got slower and slower. Ports failed as well. I replaced it with a TP Link 16 port switch which has been faultless.
If you get Netgear, get the blue ProSafe ones as they have a lifetime warranty (in the UK at least) and are less prone to overheating than the plastic ones.
As for sound quality, well that's a different argument!
