Tried that, the answer was.
“ We have very limited spares for the Kinos, although a repair may still be possible if the product is returned to Linn through one of our authorised retailers. “
And now rhe linn forum is shutdown for good and i guess ill never see the answer that bugi666 gave over there. ☹️

They say that they suspect that one of the power PC circuitry may have developed a fault, however, it could be due to some other aspect of the Kinos’s circuitry.

Please, im desperate here here as i love my kinos processor and now cant use my linn system anymore.
And i guess that it will cost a small fortune to send it back to linn for inspection as I don’t live in the uk.

Please, any help will be appreciated.
I can check and replace caps or and other part on the board as long as i know what to look for.

Best regards,
Shlomi Chen

Most likely the power supplies in your Kinos is faulty- they are running very hot, and both Kinos and Kisto are prone (imho) to developing a fault. In my case, I've sent Kinos back to Linn, and they did replace lots of components there (psu, display, some capacitors etc) so I thought I had a good value for money - at the time the repair was costing around £370.

Good luck, that doesn't sound too bad. I'm sure they'll sort it out for you.

I’m not sure how it works in other areas but in the US the dealer ships it to a US based repair center. If shipment to and from Scotland is deemed necessary it is included in the cost which is generally a flat fee. The customer is normally only responsible for shipping to and from the dealer (unless they personally bring it in) and to the repair depot. There should be no duties involved as it is being shipped out and back for repair.
