Bouncy is very joyful I like it! Flat is good as well but maybe a bit too intellectual in its presentation, if that makes sense.

Yes, not against flat but maybe slightly firmer support to control the bounce would be the most enjoyable presentation... :)

I like Flat more than Bouncy.
Bouncy is a bit "light", Flat is more "correct"

Another vote for Flat, as I found I was focusing more on the music.

And one from me.

Flat is good but I prefer Bouncy by some margin.

I can hear why people like Bouncy but Flat is more tuneful, and the ukulele is playing along better in Flat too.

I’ve listened again now that more people are preferring “flat”. IMHO, flat is indeed flat. Not quite as flat as a witches tit, but nonetheless, still quite flat. Bouncy has a voluptuous swing, which I find quite alluring…… Titter ye not!

Thanks everyone for your time and feedback.

Unfortunately, after I recorded the first clip, I discovered that one of the mana spikes was no longer correctly set, in fact it was a long way off.

I reset the spikes before recording the second clip.

This means that what we were comparing were:

Bouncy: Incorrectly set up shelf plus Trampolin 2

Flat: correctly set up shelf with no base, plus 3m bumpon feet.

I prefer bouncy, but I can hear what people are liking about flat. I'm guessing that is down in part to the correctly set up shelf.

I'll follow Hermann's advice about securing the spikes and return the tramp to the LP12.

If “incorrectly” set up spikes are more enjoyable than “correctly” set up spikes, maybe you’ve discovered something interesting! This is something I’ve discovered since being on my speaker building journey: nearly every modern design guide has proved to be unhelpful when the goal is musicality.

Having corrected the spike set up and returned the tramp to the deck, I believe that the combination of a correctly set up Mana shelf and Trampolin 2 is best for my system and my room (as opposed to a correctly set up Mana shelf and 3M bumpons baseless).

The correctly set up Mana shelf definitely sounds better than when it was even slightly off (ie one of the spikes marginally too low).

I think that 'bouncy' was undermined by the incorrect shelf set up.

If you can we would like to hear a clip of your final setup. :-)

Counterintuitively, Flat was a C; Bouncy a B but, with the right support, an A: all ship-shape and Bristol(s) fashion now - very uplifting :)

Yep, the new clip pulls it all together. I'm just back from vacation and a little groggy from a redeye flight and jet lag. I just got to listen to all three and quite enjoy the latest clip.

I came back from holiday to re-arranged furniture in the living room. It was traumatic!

You can hear the effects : https://photos.app.goo.gl/1M8wWtsJXMzaU5CYA

Which do you prefer? Long sofa on the balcony wall or short sofa on the balcony wall?

Keep the short sofa, it's the best! And just add some extra chairs whenever the sofa is full.
