Definitely A for me. B sounds a fraction flat.

Flat tonally, or performance-wise? I hear it the other way round, with A having a fraction flatter performance, to me, but it feels pretty close - interested to know how it sounds in the room between the two, whether the clips properly reflect the difference, and what the change was.

When they're this close, I wonder how much influence our listening devices have on the outcome; if we're each listening on the phone, or desktop, via headphones, etc...

Tonally flat. To me, B constantly fails to hit what I expect to hear as the right note. For me, this also effects the performance, since tune and rhythm are both affected negatively by any inharmonicity introduced by the system.

On JB I much prefer A. As a clarinet player if my instrument sounded the way it sounds on B, I'd be giving it the side eye.

On PP I found B easier to follow and understand.

C is best so far.
A was too sluggish. B better but a bit stiff presentation. C wins by having the best flow.

I prefer B on both tracks. More texture on the instruments and better flow. Also a cpuple notes on PP that sounded a little sour on A.

Thanks for posting, the music sounds more composed and more realistic on the Bedrock plinth than the standard plinth. However, the standard Linn plinths sound different anyway based on the type of wood they are made from.

If you are gonna put a comparison like that on Youtube, why on earth only in the 360p quality???
That said, the Bedrok was better.

In the YouTube video, the Bedrok LP12 is also clearly ahead for me.
You can see that both LP12s are placed on a “normal” sideboard for comparison.

Since I haven't had the opportunity to listen to a Klimax Bedrok LP12 yet, my question goes @ Thomas, who has certainly already heard the Bedrok plinth (LP12-50).
Is the difference between standard and Bedrok Klimax LP12 also that big if both are placed on a special LP12 turntable stand (e.g. Noktable or Timetable, ...) or
is the Bedrok plinth particularly good at keeping vibrations away from the surface on which the LP12 is placed?

Perhaps there will be additional listening comparisons with other Linn standard plinths using a proper turntable stand, because all the standard plinths sound different depending on the type of wood they are made from. And in my experience, the Chris Harban movingui plinth sounded better than my standard Linn plinth. But as they say, everyone has their preference and that's part of what makes the audio hobby so interesting.

Cheers

I find C closer to A than to B.

But there's some tonal qualities in A that isn't there in C, so I currently rank them from best to worst B, A, C. Not completely convinced of B vs A, though.

Thanks for your comments! This is about Hakai and versions again as when I did upgrade debian v10 to v12 I felt immediately that something got lost. New RCA-XLR and positioning 308's helped a LOT. Now I reverted back to v10 to hear how it compares and in-room I like B the most as many of you also and these confirmed my thoughts.
JB was using files from LSNAS (quite rarely used anymore)
PP was using Spotify
PP C was Spotifyd version change to older one.

(Maybe this should have been in Hakai playground but I feel it's good to have only one playground thread...)

In the beginning I did pick C but noticed Fredrik and Tendaberry had voted for B. So I decided to try a different browser.
Google Chrome didn't work very well anyways so I installed Brave. And it played music much better! Made it very clear that B is best.
