TAC interlink borrow to test UK, EU and US tour: sign up list

Post by Sopper »

End of July there will be 3 stereo sets RCA interlinks SFC available for Lejonklou forum members to test at home.
1 set will travel thru the UK, 1 thru Europe (due to brexit and taxes, we keep them separated) and 1 thru US.
The RCA set is 120cm length but is effectively 80cm due to bend radius.
Also, they need space, are not flexible like Linn rca, so if you cannot handle this length, don’t sign up.

The rules are (suggestions welcome):
1. Only registered members of this forum can participate
2. If you want to participate, post in which country you live in this thread
3. I will send out the first set of cables to the first participants
4. You may test and try the cable for 1 week (or shorter, but not longer)
5. You are responsible for sending the cable to the next participant
6. Shipping costs are for sender
7. Shipping as traced parcel is mandatory (recipient needs to able to trace the parcel)
8. Once the parcel is received, you are responsible to inspect the cable and confirm it is unharmed and good condition
9. If you have doubts about the condition, take pictures and post here or send a message

I will keep sign ups tracked in a UK, EU and US list in this main post
Suggestions and ideas welcome

UK list

2. u252agz

EU list
1. Jewa
2. imarcel

US list

Hi Sopper, I'd like to participate. I'm in the UK. After participating in the UK tour of Kalla, and also SK, I am happy with the suggested process. I can anticipate a problem if/when the next person on the list is away on holiday, which is likely in August, so I suggest the sequence has flexibility. I'm not much bothered whether I'm first or last, but have a couple of times in August when I'm away for a few days - meaning I'm not available to either sign for a package or test cables.

Please add me to the US list, I am quite interested. I will be on vacation in the middle of July but back for the last third of the month and all August so no problem with the timing here. Thanks for the opportunity.

4 sets RCA cables are now in progress of being made
Planning to finish them this coming weekend
They will burn in, in my own set for a week before sending out, since they gradually get better over time

The first participants of each tour may PM with shipping information: full name, shipping address and email address
This information will off course be kept private and solely be used to send out the cables.
Same for you, Fredrik; please PM me the info for shipping

Shipping will be done with my local Postal Service: PostNL
This means they will hand over the parcel to your local Postal Service once in your country.
It will be a registered Parcel, which requires a signature at delivery.
Trying to avoid VAT and customs, the UK and US tour will be send out as “gift” with low value goods.
If it fails and we are unlucky, please pay the required money for VAT and customs to the Delivery Instance.

I’m gonna postpone the borrowing of TAC cables for testing and evaluation purposes.
I’m up to something new (again) and need to evaluate this new configuration with close friends.
But firstly, gonna enjoy 4 weeks vacation and will be away from 24th of August till 22th of September.

To be continued after holiday season 😃

Edit: I’ll skip this
People withdrawing
Nog worth the effort
