not sure if I understand your question but one thing you can stop worring about is the music quality of Spotify (as long its through Källa) - thats for sure.
It was actually Spotify.
The noise in theclips come from a recording with too low volume.
Clip 1 and Clip2 are actually reversed polarity (live wire) on the power plug of the power adapter from the Netgear 108T - Källa needs careful setup otherwise you screw up a lot of joy … but its not difficult Fredrik described the most important things.
Music is Sophie Zelmani,
Song: If I could
out of the new compilation The first 25years

Matthias if that helps you the pin which is most far away (left) from the output cable should get the live wire
… i…i
{___ }====
My power supply is the right one in your picture (switched and rounded) and the pin would again be the left one in your picture.
I think there should be no variation between the same power supply type.

Thanks Defender,
I my case I would have to find the right pin on a wifi-to-ethernet adapter.......
Did someone try if this has an impact with the PS of the router as well?

Which of the two clips had the correct polarity though?
you are funny Spannko ;) it was Clip 2
But you might ask because you cant change polarity in the UK - in Europe you can turn the plug 180degrees. So there is no „correct“ polarity but a better sounding polarity. Not sure what the common rule is for installations in Europe.
Some say the Live Wire, L1 should be connected to the left side of the outlet (left because live, L1) but you cant trust it.

Wisdom in the US is the same orientation: power cord exit to the right when plugged in to the wall, but US outlets are wired with the Neutral to the left; Live to the right, with Earth pin below... Now I'm going to have to check that is the better way round, and I haven't had my switch PS plugged in the wrong way all this time. It would be a cheap upgrade if I don't have it right.

+1 - I'm slightly shocked. Nothing I do with the network has that size of effect on my system
+1
After listening to these clips I got the impression it makes sense to go for Källa with an optimised network only.
Matt
I use a Sonos Boost and it must contribute to why my Sonos System sounds so good.
BOOST
Get the most from your Sonos system
If you want the best wireless performance from your Sonos music system, check out the Sonos Boost. It's a compact device that connects to your network router and creates a dedicated wireless network for Sonos. It offers more stable, reliable performance than using your existing Wi-Fi® network for music streaming. By creating its own network, The Boost allows you to stream music wirelessly without disrupting traffic on your Wi-Fi network. It's a great solution if your Wi-Fi network suffers from limited range or is easily bogged down by multiple wireless devices.

Hmm. Very interesting! Well worth trying too. I wonder how this differs from fixed IP addresses? (Being a computer numpty, I’ve no idea 🤪)

Or that going with a Källa will help you optimize your network :)
Agree,
but there might be some trial and error involved until it gives superb results.
Matt
With the recommended network & control point threads, the findings & support on this forum, and Källa itself making differences clear, I don't see too many errors being made, and reversing a power supply is hardly a trial. About the only unknown is the router, but that doesn't seem to have prevented multiple reports of high praise across different network installations, and immediate purchase intentions expressed, so a little surprised by your concern, even reticence... Your choice of course - just a surprising reaction.

I have to optimise Källa with wifi-to-ethernet adaptor and I am looking forward to a demo at home when some things are arranged.......:-)
