DACs - Kisto vs. Kinos vs. Akurate vs. AV5103 vs. Numerik

I was wondering if anyone had compared the stereo performance of the DACs in the various Linn preamps?

While I expect that a Majik DS direct to poweramps would outperform a Squeezebox or similar connected digitally to the preamp, I'd be interested to know which of the preamps has the best DAC in this type of situation.

Anyone who's compared any of them?

Hmmm...no responses.

I'll try the Linn forums, and see if anyone has a view there. Will post back here if anything interesting comes out.

All I know is that the newer DAC's in Akurate Kontrol/Kinos/Kisto are much better than the ones in 5103 or Numerik.

From my expereinces and using the tune demo method I would place them in order as the Kisto, followed by Kinos, closely followed by the Akurate Kontrol, then quite a jump to the AV5103. It has been far to long since I listened to the Numeric.
