Linn discontinues analog Aktiv speakers, MIso

In a move that further reinforces Linn's commitment to their Exakt program, Linn has discontinued their analog Aktiv speakers. As of April 30th the Klimax 350A and the Akubarik (Aktiv) will no longer be available. Linn has also said that the preferential pricing for Exakt upgrades to these products will end on that date as well.

In a related message Linn has also informed dealers that the Majik Isobarik, once the existing 15 pairs of cabinets are gone (8 of which are unlacquered to be finished in RAL colors), will no longer be manufactured. My understanding is that no replacement is planned. Recommended alternatives are Majik 140, 520 and Akubarik passive. This last surprises me most as it is 2.5 times the price!

It is safe to say I'm concerned. Especially as I fully expect more discontinuations before the year is out.
