It depends on how you look at it. Since there are still the phono stages in the Majik-I series and the Akurate Kontrol they actually have four phono stages. I was about to say that you were correct in regard to external phono stages but then the Urika isn't really external either. :) But you can say that there are two phono stages that are not inside a preamp or amp.

Precisely!
From Linn's Uphorik dealer product info they have recommendations on how to demonstrate the Uphorik. The first on the list?

"Demonstrate within a multi-brand turntable system"

I think that answers the question pretty well. :)

All good points regarding the Linn phono preamplifiers, and I figured you would have the specific details :!:

I now have official US prices on the Uphorik and Lingo 3. The Uphorik is $2850 and includes a set of Black interconnects which does put it well under the Urika at $3500. The Lingo 3 is $1810 - the same price as the Lingo 2 in the US.

Demo products are starting to ship very soon and full production shipments start April 8th.

It's good to see the new Linn Lingo-3 power supply not costing more. But there wasn't any real change other than the exterior casing - correct :?:

I just received a Lingo 3 together with a (used) LP12 i bought to replace the one I foolishly sold a couple of years ago.

Anyway, on the box is says Lingo "3/1" rather then just "3". That makes me wonder if something has changed since the new enclosure?

I would guess that there is now a power button under the front panel due to recent EU legislation - a few other Linn items became /1 because of this.
