Have anyone experience with the modification of cross over filters.
I heard some good stories about it, without changing the sound of the speaker, but just making it better. Some components can easily be replaced by better ones with the same characteristics.
I have heard the differences with non-linn speakers and it really was worth it.
Would it be doable to improve the cross over filters of Linn speakers (e.g 242) as well?
Any experience?

I have some experience. What is required is:valentine wrote:Have anyone experience with the modification of cross over filters.
1) To know exactly what you want. It is very easy to get lost, because everything you do will make a difference and everything is interrelated. I use a strict scheme and judge the result with the Tune Method only.
2) To understand that there is no such thing as "better components". Only different components. There is no relationship between price or specifications and performance in your application.
3) Be prepared to spend a lot of time and to fail repeatedly.
4) Some of the changes you make will be an adaption to the room that your speakers are standing in.
