Tune dem of smartphones!

Post by doze84 »

Would be fun to get some more reports on top end smartphones.

Don't think there's been any comparison since
Galaxy s3 was concluded to be better than
IPhone 4s.
Please help me fill up the list. It' will affect the choice of my next phone.

Wher should iPhone 5, the coming 5s and galaxy s4
be?

Galaxy s3
iPhone 4s
iPhone 4
(To my ear equal steps between these three)

I'll quasi bump this. My Galaxy S2 sounds awful, one day it died and so I hauled out my Palm Pre- and it was so much better through my Etymotics
HF5's. There are several threads about this on xda-developers, but here would give a much different flavour. We spend alot of time away from our home systems and so this is a reasonable question to be explored. I've subsequently got some custom silicone tips and it changed both the presentation/soundstage, but also gave deeperish low end and overall better response.

I could compare the latest iPhone, iPad and one of the Galaxy phones, if that is of any help to anyone. Could I just stream from Amazon, or would I need to download the file onto each device in order to make it a fair test? Just not sure if streaming from the Internet will add too many other factors.

I'd probably download a file to each device to be fair.
