What is harmony?

Post by Spannko »

Jacob Collier explains harmony to 5 people ranging from children to professional musicians. For me, the theory starts off interesting, but then goes completely over my head! However, stick with it right to the end, which starts with JC talking to Herbie Hancock (in Greek, I think!), moving on to a stunning joint arrangement of the simple piece JC used to explain harmony at all the 5 levels.

Hmm. Not sure I understand that Don. How would that work, do you think?

Blimey. M Collier impresses not just with his understanding, but with the ease he conveys in explaining and interacting with anyone and everyone. Thanks for sharing.

I missed this somehow. Yeah, interesting. I learned a bit. Not sure what it means for Hi-Fi and evaluating. Maybe needs to sink in.
