That's a pretty nice collection and some absolutely essential ones :-) I'm also missing the Lyle Lovett on lp, fortunately I have his first three ones, though.ThomasOK wrote: ↑2022-08-03 19:01 Maybe a listing would help.

Re: Latest records to enter your collection
The Lyle Lovett is a new pressing by a group called Vinyl Me, Please. They run mostly on a subscription basis with four categories: Classics, Essential, Hip-Hop and Country. Classics has a lot of jazz as well as blues, pop, etc. Classics also seems to cover a wide range from Billie holiday to Mars Volta with stops for The Doors and Buena Vista Social Club. Most of their pressings are on various colors of vinyl.
They seem to be pretty serious about it as they are planning to open an new pressing plant near Denver to produce "audiophile grade vinyl". They have hired some LP heavy hitters to run the place and it will have a bar and listening areas to allow the public to see how it all works and get more involved in LPs. Here's an article on the plant:

While they are big on the subscription model they do make some titles available for separate purchase which is where I got the Lyle Lovett. It is on charcoal vinyl and I haven't listened to it yet so don't consider this a recommendation, just some information. Here is the link for the record:

Re: Latest records to enter your collection
I already have a few VMP's releases, mostly the the Fiona Apple lp's, which are really good. I recently chatted with VMP about a subscription and shipping to Europe. While they do that free of charge, they couldn't guarantee, that they would transmit the IOSS number digitally to German customs. That means that I would have to pay the German VAT + fees twice, so no go for me. I just saw, that "Joshua" is pressed by GZ Media in the Czech Republic, I hope you're lucky and get one without defects. I usually avoid all GZ pressings, but if it's the only one, I guess I would get it too.
As an example how absurdly expensive vinyl has become: if I order the Lyle Lovett album, it costs $ 47,- in the VMP shop (for non-members). Including shipping, (double)taxes and fees it will have cost me around € 93,- when it arrives.

So this might be cheating a bit, however I just received email confirmation that my copies of Pink Floyd’s new “Remix” of my Floyd’s Favorite album Animals has Shipped! I heard samples via You tube and it sounded quite promising. I ordered the less expensive, album only vs. The “box set” with DVD/CD etc. Well, fingers crossed for quality shipping and handling.
Happy Listening everyone!

Normally I don't go for reissues, but I couldn't resist this one. Leaves my UK reissue from 1973 trailing in the dust...

Re: Latest records to enter your collection
Glad impressions are good.
Do you have the 1977 release to compare LPs? I can only do so between copies ('77 allegedly and remix) on Spotify, and on YouTube... On both I have a preference towards the same version, but have no way of telling whether the same would be true between LPs. The mixes seem similar enough that it might be more the quality (availability & price) of the pressing(s) than a meaningful musical difference so much as a personal preference, possibly skewed by familiarity 🤔
If impressions are good then that's good 🙂

Finally remembered to pick up a copy of Foreigner Agent Provocateur for my bride (I want to know what love is). Previous copy disappeared.

Not yet delivered, but great in Spotify. I hope the vinyl is even better. Especially since JPC offers it at a very good price.
Monty Alexander: Here Comes The Sun (remastered) (180g)
And since I already own several of his records, this is certainly an excellent addition.
