Will give this a spin over the weekend, and perhaps some of my other recently purchased vinyl if time permits.

Such a beautiful album cover. I hope you and yours enjoy the album immensely!

p.s. Dan Auerbach has his tube amps dimed and ready when you are :-)

I bought the remastered four CD box set. He was consistently good at songwriting and performing. Wild times with Steve Earle - I think Earle realised if Townes was giving him a lifestyle lecture all was not right :)

Any of his albums up until Flyin' Shoes (1978) is a must! That's not saying the rest is bad (it isn't), just not as cosistently great.

One of the best albums ever to document a break up. Whether it's with a former lover or loved brand.

Picked up a copy of "A Love Supreme" by John Coltrane. Unfortunately it's not an original pressing, but it does sound really good anyway. And it comes with rare pictures from original negatives, as well as the original liner notes.

Hi Tony, can you give some detail on the release/pressing? I would be very interested in adding a decent one to my collection. Ta

Hope this is useful...

"A Love Supreme" by John Coltrane (black vinyl album). Comes with the original gatefold design, remastered from original analog recording by Michael Cuscuna, and original sessions produced by Bob Thiele. The impulse reissue series, Limited Edition Gr-155, by MCA Records Incorporated, made in the USA 1995.

Cheers

Sometimes record companies couldn't be trusted with the original master tapes (in some cases notably Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde etc, even at the time of the original release nobody's quite sure what version the "original master" is.
