Enjoy!
NPO Radio 4, my favorite radio station. Brilliant live concerts, a lot of non conformist and modern classical music too.

I just read WSJ Nov 8, Andy Kessler wrote an opinion piece " A long time since Led Zeppelin IV" released 1971 Nov 9. He writes "It was a year of transition from turmoil to modernity, a songwriter's paradise". He discuss the possible meaning of the lyrics in Stairway to Heaven and how Led zeppelin in both the song and the two-neck guitar captured the transformation to modernity and hope for the future among a youh generation.

For 1971 he names some of the albums released in that year
Led Zeppelin IV
Madman Across the Water
Aqualung
Sticky Fingers
Who's Next
LA Woman
Tapestry
What's Going On
Shaft
At Fillmore East
The Concert for Bangladesh
Imagine
Pearl
... and there is more. What years there was for music in the early 70s! Or maybe I am just getting old and nostalgic?

1971 was pretty cool but I think it would have a hard time beating 1969.

"The year saw the greatest roster of debut albums ever released. Some of the most legendary would include the debut albums from Chicago, Grand Funk, Janis Joplin, The Allman Brothers Band, Neil Young, Santana, King Crimson, Crosby,Stills & Nash, Free, Bob Seger, Poco and Alice Cooper, Elton John and Yes. There were so many more that you will discover on this incredible list of rock albums form 1969."

https://www.classicrockhistory.com/1969 ... ck-albums/

Throw in the first and second Led Zeppelin albums, three from Creedence Clearwater Revival and Abbey Road, Let It Bleed and Tommy among many others and you have quite the year.

Oh yeah, 1969 was great. This is of course my favourite album from that year:
