Thanks Tandaberry
Neither of us knew Serge Gainsbourg. My wife is blown away, she loves his voice.... maybe I should rethink the last 40 years of our relationship?... ;-)

Re: Playlist
You're welcome :-) Please try also his early jazz recordings, they're brilliant. As are the late 60's works. Very interesting (and good) is also his collaborations with Sly & Robbie on "Aux Armes Et Cætera" and " Mauvaises Nouvelles Des Étoiles".

Sarah Siskind - Modern Appalachia (US 2020): A wonderful singer/songwriter record! Sounds way better on vinyl than digital...

I learned about Carole King from my siblings, and I really like her music. I don't have many of her albums though...something I can look into...Tendaberry wrote: ↑2024-02-27 11:07 Carole.jpg

Re: Playlist
That's a good idea! They are well worth getting. I would start with "Tapestry" of course, then "Writer: Carole King" and "Music",Tony Tune-age wrote: ↑2024-02-29 16:52 I learned about Carole King from my siblings, and I really like her music. those are the essential ones. Also good are "Fantasy" and "Rhymes & Reasons". In 1996 "The Carnegie Hall Concert" was released, but the recording is from 1971, I would say this also belongs in the essential category.
Oh, do get the original US pressings, they aren't expensive and sound way better than any reissues.
