It's easy to configure the Amplifi Alien to provide a dedicated Subnet for Källa that screens Källa from the rest of the network.
It's not so easy to allow Airplay to work across subnets. I think I need to set up a multicast reflector on a device that bridges both networks.
Has anyone done this, and tested the impact on Källa sound quality?

Re: Dedicated Subnet for Källa
I had a play around... I didn't try bridging subnets tho'.
A dedicated subnet seemed worse in my experience, but it felt like taking IoT devices off the main subnet helped. YMMV with Aliens, of course.
Can you not just add your control point(s) to the Kalla subnet, rather than the main one, or do you have other devices to control on different subnets?

Ah thx for the link. Interesting. I admit I expect creating a Subnet to help, so it'll be interesting to test.tokenbrit wrote: ↑2025-03-01 17:40 I had a play around... I didn't try bridging subnets tho'.

I can do a quick test with just the control device on the same subnet, but if it's effective I will need a way for family mobiles to talk to Spotify
