Kalla/iPad playback problem
At present the iPad (Pro 11) I use most will not connect to play music from Spotify to my Kalla via airplay. It finds the Kalla and shows a tick but only plays music on the iPad itself even though Lejonklou is ticked.
I also have an iPad Mini and an iPhone and both connect fully to my Kalla.
All devices are running ios 18.0.1
Any suggestions would be welcome ?

Have you tried rebooting the iPad and Källa? I've had my Apple TV hiccup like this twice. No other devices, though. A reboot of Apple TV resolved the issue.

I have rebooted the Kalla and the iPad several times but still not working.

Apols for the obvious: only other one to try is to reboot the router if you haven't already... Guessing you would have tried that, but doesn't hurt to check.
Another dbl check: is your Källa on a fixed IP? If so has it changed at all, and are all devices on the same subnet? I'd have to assume so if you can select Källa in AirPlay on the iPad Pro...

A few questions.
1) Do you select Källa from within the Spotify app or in iPadOS? Make sure Källa is selected when you open the control center to ensure that all audio from your iPad is routed through Airplay by clicking this button:
(If you don't see this in your control center, add the "Now Playing" control panel and make sure it is in the big size)
2) Have you tried playing audio from other apps than Spotify? Will that audio also play from the internal speaker or is the issue limited to Spotify?
3) Do you have any other speaker that is compatible with Airplay? If so, does the issue happen also on these devices? If you have a mac you can try using Airplay on iPad to play audio to the Mac internal speakers. It is using the same protocol and can help isolate the issue

1. I normally select the Kalla in the Spotify ap:

It looks like you have a Linn DS and I believe that a Linn DS can accept AirPlay, so you could test airplay to your "Linn Main Room" ?
I'm not sure if that is something you need to enable for your Linn DS.

I can play music from Spotify to my DSM via Airplay. I can not play music from spotify to my Kalla which is connected to my DSM.

Do you have the Home app on your Pro 11 (or other iDevice) that could be restricting AirPlay access to Källa?

So to summarise, AirPlay works for these:
iPad Pro (all apps) > Linn DSM
iPad Mini > Källa
iPhone > Källa
But not for this

What happens if you turn off your iPad Mini and iPhone? Can you then stream to Källa via AirPlay? I had a problem that an Apple TV held the connection to Källa and prevented me from streaming from the iPad mini.

That's an interesting link, springwood64. It does seem similar and involves iOS 18 as well.
We've never come across anything like this before. As it's not one of the rare hiccups that are simply resolved by a reboot of the Apple unit and that Källa is working normally with iPhone and iPad mini, my suggestion is that you do a complete reset of the iPad that is malfunctioning.
