Hi Fredrik did you find Spotify a bit 'hot' compared to flac files from a Nas ?

We are really hoping it will be an improvement, but there are no guarantees that will be the case. The resolution of the files is not the most important parameter, so they need to get the others right as well.

Hi Fred!

I just started working full time+ again today.

We have been waiting for the cases and the casemakers have been waiting for the aluminum sheets. Large companies have bought and reserved everything that's being made, in an attempt to avoid shortages. Which in turn causes shortages...

But near the end of my vacation I was told they've put aside aluminum for the first 25 cases to be made! So now we're counting weeks instead of months.

We're now on the final stretch before the release of Källa.

25 cases have been made and delivered. I think they look stunning. Tundra size, same matte black structured paint, more ventilation holes, logo in grey instead of white. Several improvements have been made to the now 9 year old case design, but from the outside they look pretty much the same.

Circuit boards are about to go through the third and final soldering process. I'm in daily discussions about assembly details and as many of them can have an influence on performance, we evaluate all the possible options. Yes, you guessed it - by ear.

During the wait for the cases we also had time to test various network configurations and parts. I managed to find two minor bugs in the firmware that have been fixed. We have two alternatives to the GS-108T switch that are under test.

Final stretch. One day at a time. Focus and grit. Soon we're crossing the finish line.

thats the kind of news what many of us waited for - I hope the rest of the finalizing/polishing process runs smooth. I am looking forward to hear the first feedback and maybe clips in playground.
All the best and well deserved success with it.

Exciting times. Slightly self-serving (if/when I can find the $$s ;) but wishing you the very best with the product, Fredrik :)

as the Källa Launch probably comes closer what are you planning to do as launch activities?
I think all your efforts and the product deserve it - how about a zoom call which all your dealers can also promote?
How about a head to head comparison with a Klimax DS Katalyst and a presentation from your side which might include your 5 levels of musical improvements in home audio (I dont know if I recall it correctly).
Any special offer if bought together other products from you.
Just ideas.

Why not Organik?
Would you consider Källa if it offers Katalyst performance?

uups, I just forgot about the Organik after Linn‘s marketing baloney about it - yes why not Organik.

Yes I would consider Källa (never say no to a Lejonklou product ;)) but I also have to say after the switch to Sagatun Monos I am really enjoying my Akurate DS /Katalyst again.
The only thing is I dont like subscription based services - need to know/understand how Källa performs with music saved on the IPhone/IPad and how much you compromise musicality compared to a direct streaming music service.

Ha ha!

All I can say is that if this is Kalla with a Kikkin - then wow.

Thats very very impressive.

I would love to hear more; perhaps with a Gaio Pi or Sagatun Mono as preamps and a Tundra Mono or Monos.

Looks like its going to be a busy autumn at Lejonklou HQ.

This really is excellent! Well done to everyone working on the project. Should this really be in the Bargain HiFi dept? This level of musicality for around 7 grand is crazy! I haven’t heard Morrisey sound as good as this since Linn discontinued the Troika!
