DAC upgrade: Serpentine

Post by springwood64 »

I've been having trouble ensuring the ESI HD+ sits flat on the shelf. The stiff USB or Linn Silver cables tend to leave the DAC wafting on just two feet.

My solution? Place a lump of Cornish Serpentine on top, with 3 self adhesive little feet.

Serpentine from Kynance Cove is really cool. It's a beautiful mix of green black yellow and red, comes from one of the most stunning coastal features in the country, and is one of only a few places in the world where rock from the boundary between the crust and the mantle rises to the surface.

I'll post clips later...

I don't want to lead the jury. I'm interested in what the forum makes of the change.
