Interesting, thanks for reporting.Sopper wrote:Updated the UPMPDCLI libraries and server in Volumio.
Can run Qobuz and Tidal now, visible in Linn Kazoo.
So no need for BubbleUPnP (server) anymore.
Thanks Sopper ,good find !Sopper wrote:For the people who still haven’t managed to run Volumio stable with web-ui or Volumio app, update you MPD (music player daemon) as explained at the upmpdcli website:

Bottom explanation for updating MPD for Debian.
Solved not responding web-ui for me and no more music stopping when selecting different song.
Requires subscription though....maffe wrote:Looks like we soon can have Tidal/Qobuz integrated in next Volumio release :)

Meanwhile I have installed bubbelupnp on my Qnap to get Tidal on my raspberry/Volumio streamer.
I don't think anyone here thought it was free Sopper ,but thanks for the info anywaySopper wrote:Requires subscription though....maffe wrote:Looks like we soon can have Tidal/Qobuz integrated in next Volumio release :)

Yes, like Roon it gets pretty expensive over time.Sopper wrote:Requires subscription though....maffe wrote:Looks like we soon can have Tidal/Qobuz integrated in next Volumio release :)

Added step 12a and 12b to prevent aborting installation of UPMPDCLI (invalid key)
Thanks for that Sopper, the problems you had previously experienced with kazoo is similar to problems I've heard from other people and the one thing they had in common was they all had iPhones. In Android, kazoo isn't really an issueSopper wrote: ↑2018-11-14 22:43 Alright, step by step guide:
1. Download http://updates.volumio.org/x86/volumio/ ... 86.img.zip
2. Create a bootable USB disk like described on the Volumio website
3. I trust that you can start this Volumio image like you did before?
On a laptop or PC other then your HAKAI:
4. When Volumio has booted, navigate to http://volumio.local/dev/ in your browser
5. Enable SSH
6. Download and install Putty https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgt ... atest.html
7. Start Putty and SSH into volumio by filling in the IP address of your HAKAI Volumio
8. Login name: volumio password: volumio
9. Type: sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/upmpdcli.list (sudo needs password: volumio)(this will open or create upmpdcli.list in an editor in Putty)
10. Copy the lines below (select and Ctrl + C)
deb http://www.lesbonscomptes.com/upmpdcli/ ... ds/debian/ jessie main
deb-src http://www.lesbonscomptes.com/upmpdcli/ ... ds/debian/ jessie main
11. Paste them into upmpdcli.list (right click mouse on cursor in putty = paste in Linux SSH)
12. Ctrl + O (to save changes) <enter> Ctrl + X (to exit editor)
12a. copy and paste (to get the public key from the keyservers)
gpg --keyserver pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-key F8E3347256922A8AE767605B7808CE96D38B9201
12b. copy and paste (to add it to the apt keyring)
gpg --export '7808CE96D38B9201' | sudo apt-key add -
13. Type: sudo apt-get update (and wait till packeges are read)
14. Type: sudo apt-get install upmdcli (and press Y when prompted; this will install latest upmpdcli)
15. Find your device number for the ESI dac, type: aplay -l (remember the number ESI is given)
15. Type: sudo nano /etc/asound.conf (this will open asound.conf an editor in Putty)
16. Copy and paste:
defaults.pcm.card 1
defaults.ctl.card 1
(Change number to the one listen in aplay -l)
17. Ctrl + O (to save changes) <enter> Ctrl + X (to exit editor)
18. Type: sudo nano /volumio/app/plugins/audio_interface/upnp/upmpdcli.conf.tmpl (this will open upmpdcli.conf.tmpl in an editor in Putty)
19. Navigate with Arrow keys to:
#upnpav = 0 (remove # and change 0 to 1 (upnpav = 1)
#ownqueue = 0 (remove # and change 0 to 1 (ownqueue = 1)
