Slipsik 7 Power Lead

I’ve been offered a Slipsik 7 with an EU power lead, but I live in the UK.

Is it possible to change the power lead (I know it’s a captive one, not just a case of plugging it in)? If so, does that mean sending it back to Fredrik, or could it be done by a UK dealer?

Alternatively, would a Slipsik 7 going through a UK-EU power adapter sound better than a British Gaio2?

Thanks!

I would say using an adapter will do its work well and your Slipsik will sound as it is supposed to do.

Yes, I think an adapter works well. The European power cord is really good and doesn’t have a fuse in the plug like the UK one. So instead of the fuse you’ll have an adapter in the plug end.

It’s possible but complicated to replace the power cord, as it runs inside a copper tube and is soldered in place. It’s easier to install the power cord the first time than it is to later replace it.

Good to see you back Rowland! - if only for a moment. Hope all is well.

I have a Slipsik (v8) which is great so I think you'll enjoy it

Nice to see you too, Charlie1!

Following on from this post - has anyone got any recommendations for UK to EU power adapters that sound good?

Try Brennenstuhl travel adapter, Engeland socket - EU plug (Brennestuhl.com / amazon)
