Giella (∏) + Sennheiser HD800S

Post by tby »

Hi,

Just wanted to see if there's any people on here that has had a chance to try headphones mentioned in topic with either of the Giella versions.

These cans are my daily drivers due to the comfort and weight. However, they're very finicky with matching amps (to my ears), and I'd like to get off tubes for them due to being daily drivers while working.

If anyone has any experience to share it would be really appreciated!

I would contact Pierre from headonist.fr in Paris.
You find his phone number at Lejonklou > Dealers
He has a lot of experience with Giella Pi and HP.

I agree that the HD800s isn't my favorite headphones. However, I haven't found a more comfortable headphone that I can wear as a daily driver for 8 hours per day without it feeling like a great weight on my head, or sliding around if I tilt my head.
So, it's a compromise. They do sound stage and vocals very nicely when matched with a good amp, hence my inquiry.
