Since today, Concerto Audio in Amsterdam, former dedicated Linn-only specialist, will be offering the full Lejonklou range. Owner Alex Esser sees it as a great complimentary brand next to Linn.

Happy to announce that Fredrik will be present at Record Store Day - Saturday the 21st of April - in Amsterdam.

The new dealer Concerto Audio will be setting up various analogue systems with LP12s and Lejonklou amplification.
In the same street you will find Concerto, simply the best record store in The Netherlands, so you can take your new purchases with you to hear what they sound like on a Linn/Lejonklou setup.

More updates to follow on Concerto Audio´s FB page

Looking forward to meet you there - it´s going to be a fun vinyl spinning event!

I've just been notified by Fredrik that Gaio 2 will make its world debut at Concerto Audio this upcoming Saturday the 21st of April.

As we're celebrating Record Store Day - together with Fredrik who will be flying over especially to host this event - the timing couldn't have been more pitch perfect.

Concerto Audio is going to play various LP12s with Lejonklou amplification.
A great opportunity to compare Gaio 1 vs the new Gaio 2 and Slipsik.
Speakers will be (passive) Akudoriks and Majik 140 - with upgraded bases, naturally.

It looks like we're going to be treated with great weather also, sunny with 22 degrees C - so no better place to go but inside and play some funky tunes - dress lightly :-)

Concerto Audio will be open 11.00-18.00 hrs - happy to see you there.

Alex and Thierry - Concerto Audio
Marco - Hexagon Audio

Very cool way to celebrate Record Store Day. I wish I could be there to join you as it sounds like fun.

The vinyl resurgence continues unabated with 2017 increasing again over 2016. There have been increasing sales every year for 12 years now and the increase has been getting bigger each year. In 2017 over 14.3 million LP albums were sold in the US, about an 11% increase over 2016, at the same time that overall album sales fell. Record Store Day is popular enough that the Ann Arbor Main Public Library has invited a number of used record dealers to set up shop there along with a local record producer talking about and showing some of his projects. They mention that they are in the center of Ann Arbor's 4 top record stores. So they are using the day to promote the library.

This is something that is really good to see and has certainly had a positive impact on our business, and I would expect the Hi-Fi business in general. It is becoming obvious that this wasn't just some nostalgic flash in the pan and qualifies as a continuing trend. With the new developments from Lejonklou HiFi, on both the low end and high end of phono stages this year, I expect this to be a great year for vinyl in another way. My Giao 2s are on the way but will not likely make here in time for Record Store Day. But still something to look forward to!

Thanks!

Airport security showed great interest in the Gaio 2 in my cabin bag. In particular the encapsulated transformer caught their interest, shown in bright colours on the scanner.

I didn't bring any tools for opening and closing the metal case, as last time the torque tool caught their attention and I had to show that it didn't hide any sharp parts inside.

Luckily after telling them all about Record Store Day and this new phono stage being presented at Concerto Audio in Amsterdam tomorrow, they didn't require me to open it and settled for a "sniffer" that cleared it from suspicion of explosives.

I really like it when airport security are notoriously thorough and friendly at the same time.

Looking forward to tomorrow!

I’ll be there in the morning.
Don’t have much time due to other appointments in the afternoon.
It will be interesting to hear the LP12 with Lejonklou.
Friend of mine is interested in hearing records as well, so bringing him along.

Concerto Audio is now closed. Thank you Sopper and everyone who visited us on Record Store Day in this incredible spring weather!

I ran six or seven comparisons of Gaio, Gaio 2 and Slipsik 6 throughout the day, using a top level LP12 with Adikt, Sagatun Mono's, Tundra Mono's and Linn Majik 140 speakers. Everyone who came by seemed really interested in music and were seeking the same as me - the emotional kick, the thrill, the core of the music. And so does Alex and Thierry who run Concerto.

Love the shop, love the customers. I'll be back!

It was great to meet you there and see the “face” behind this lovely equipment.
Although small and comfortable, like a small living room, the music was there and enjoyable.
First time to hear a LP12 for me and it sounded, surprise surprise... very analog.

The slipsik 6 is my favourite; the music was right there and it didn’t made me want to listen to differences in details. My friend and the other 2 listeners felt exactly the same.

Thanks for joining us today at record day!
