I would say if a reviewer likes what I like und describes the playback of a system I know in a similar way I would do myself, then I would trust his opinion about the playback of a system I never listened to.

Music is what it is all about and that is easy to hear through the clips. I personally prefer the Urika clip but the Slipsik in its present form is definately doing good things.

Keep on the good work.
Are we listening to Urika v Slipsik or Harmomylian v Noktable or a combination of all 4!

Yes, my answer is more useful as a cheerful comment than an evaluation. :-)

Yes, I didn’t notice the plinth! So, just what are the two vid’s trying to demonstrate?

It is more of a presentation of what was being played on at the show than a comparison (my guess).

As a further explanation, the Slipsik MC was a very early prototype that had literally been built about 3 weeks before the show. Fredrik had never heard it with a Kandid before the show and I hadn't heard it at all. The demonstration at the show was just undertaken to show what Fredrik was working on as his next likely product, and that he certainly wasn't finished with new products (which are always popular at shows). We were honestly both surprised at how good a showing it made with the Kandid and I thought others on the forum would like to hear it.

As noted there were different stands and different plinths - this was in no way intended as a scientific A/B comparison, at least certainly not by the standards that Fredrik and I would apply. But I thought you would all enjoy it as this is the only time the Slipsik MC has been heard in the wild. Fredrik will continue to develop it until he is happy with the perfromance and who knows what the final product will be (except that it will be very, very good).
