Yes, the Superkikkin is quite the buy. I feel it musically outperforms the Sagatun stereo 1.4 but the 1.7 (and of course 1.8) moves the Sagatun stereo back ahead musically. Still just being in that range musically for under $3000 US is very impressive.Tony Tune-age wrote: ↑2025-01-17 17:54 I'm guessing the Superkikkin officially replaced the Sagatun, as the only Lejonklou stereo preamp now (which does make sense).

Superkikkin is the only Lejonklou stereo preamp currently available... I am still thoroughly enjoying my Giella Pi 1.2 as my preamp so that is another option in the Lejonklouverse. Then again Fredrik did say Superkikkin outperforms Giella Pi when it was under development. I have a feeling that Superkikkin is slightly better but not earth shattering so in my situation it might not be worth the upgrade for me. I still own but don't use a Kikkin 2.0 model as well. Superkikkin for $3000 sure sounds like a deal to me though I am saving for tundra mono 3s instead.
