Hi Everyone
My good friend and I had an interesting test session last week between Gaio and Gaio 2.0.
It turned out that there was a bigger difference than we expected. The short version is that Gaio 2 sounds absolutely fantastic from the upper bass and up. Clear, open, precise. As if a filter or two has been removed. Strings, piano, etc. sound natural and it is very easy to hear and separate the different tones. I have nothing extra to wish for here. But it is as if the bass does not follow. It is a little thin in the sound and is perhaps too controlled. The bass cannot be "felt", only heard. And the bass passages are not so refined.
The Gaio is different. It is not as clear and open, but is more harmonious from top to bottom. And the bass is clearer, goes deeper, is fuller and it is much easier to follow the bass passages. So even though the Gaio 2 " is clearly more detailed, open and crisp. I sit back and think about the missing bass, and that's why I like the Gaio better.
My question to the forum comes here. Have any of you compared the Gaio 2 with the 2.4 and can share experiences here in the forum. Are there any other Lejenklou models that give a fuller bottom at the same time as the open and detailed reproduction.
Thanks for your help.
Thomas
