I'm quite happy with the forum on my iPhone 5. Works smoothly and quite readable.

Is everyone happy? Incredible!

A few details remain on my list:
* Author and message will switch positions, so that author is to the left
* A button with View New Messages will be added to the top left of the start page
* Birthdays at the bottom will be removed
* Column widths and margins to the left and right need slight adjustments here and there

Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Great for me on an iPhone 6 now. Much better than my first try earlier today.

I like the blue ribbon to show that the member is online.

I quite like the author on the right and find it easier to read through the thread, but it's no big deal either way around.

Fredrik,
I would not put the author informations on one of the sides of the message, I would put them on top of the message.
That has two major advantages:
1.There is no more need to scroll to the left or to right, you have to scroll up and down, thats it.
2.You get rid of redundant information, because you need always to put the author on top of the message.

My suggestion is to make three blocks arranged horizontally on top of the message:
In the first block you have the author and e.g. "very active member".
In the second block you have the avatar.
In the third block you have the remaining informations. IMO, it is not important to see the hour and minutes of the joining date.

I'm with Charlie. I like the author info on the right, as I normally read the text of the discussion first.

Sorry Matthias, I wouldn't want it in line above the comments, as it just interrupts the flow of the discussion there.

We've discussed the "position of the author"" quite a bit and our conclusions are:
1. Position above each message was tried in the original mobile version. It interrupts the flow of "downward reading" and also makes the desktop versus Ipad versus mobil versions differ too much. Better to have them as alike as possible.
2. Position to the right is what we have now. Problem is that you often move your eyes to the right to see the author, then back again to the left to read the message.
3. Position to the left is what we'll change to. You'll see the author first and then read the message. If you are concerned with the flow of reading on your mobile, please note that if you double tap on the right column, it will zoom in and leave the author column outside the screen. Then you can just scroll down with one thumb while reading.

I personally like it with the author on the right. That way after a quick glance you continue reading left to right from the left of the page. This feels more natural in my opinion.

I've got a point.
With current setting, author to the left, you just know who posted the text you read. When author was to the right it was more searching for the eye to find/figure it out.
I like it to the left. Very good.

The double tapping on the post to expand it and hide the author is great!
