This opportunity doesn’t present itself too often
Sonas some of you may recall, my Kandid appears to have a failed suspension seeing as the actual base of the cartridge comes into contact with the viny ( accidents will happen) and the stylus is almost at 22.5 degrees or even less, I’m thinking closer to .12 degrees. Well.. my great dealer is lettin...

Re: Where do we go from here?
Thank you both for the suggestions and info. Space limits me for another table such as Noktable (hence wall shelf). I’ve seen from Quadraspire a shelf, with feet and all, sold for the purpose of going directly on top of an existing quad shel/rack. I think it’s the quadraspire soundstage. Currently m...

Where do we go from here?
Ok, first I’d like to thank the fellow forum members sfor their highly insightful input. My question is a simple one, perhaps. With my current setup, I will figure a way to acquire Ekos SE, and new Kandid as needed based on previous posts/pics. My question is, is there an upgrade/musical improvement...

Rel B1 vs. Klimax 345
I know these don’t come up too often, however there’s a climax 345 available at a substantial discount, I like the groups thoughts on how it would compare versus my REL B1 Britannia, connected via high-level imports.

Single driver floorstanding speaker
I remember one of the first times I was introduced to the Lp 12 the dealer had a pair of single driver speakers. To me it was always a great sound, can anyone comment on any current or past recommended models? Thank you

Excellent. Thanks for responding so quickly. For what it’s worth I have an extra pair of the original 242 bases in silver if that could help you in anyway. May I ask your impressions of the Accu Barricks versus the 242‘s? I recently acquired my tundra mono 2s to replace a climax chakra twin non-dyna...

Re: A Day Long Dem In Kantata Audio
Thanks for sharing such a great story Avalon. John’s treatment and level of service he provided reminds me of an experience I had 18 years ago. I was fortunate enough to have just purchased my dream car, 2002 BMW M3 six speed and steel gray metallic at the wonderful age of 28 years old. About three ...

Re: Single source only more musical?
Thank you sir for your quick response. There was a part of me that just knew you wouldn’t have those options/functions unless they improved the tune! Sagutun monos and Ekos SE get me to the finish line however the view is pretty spectacular from here already, much thanks to your tundra mono2s!

Any change you would part with the upgraded stands by themselves?

Single source only more musical?
While enjoying reading about Sagutun monos, I noticed in the photo of the rear of the u it the option/ability to select single source. Does this have a positive impact on musicality?

My wife’s Tune method revelation
So last evening the 2 of us were enjoying an adult beverage or 2 and enjoying some music. She’s almost always noticed improvements and upgrades, but hasn’t been able to articulate just why she liked one over the other. She used terms like details and more bass and the dreaded “clearer” lol. So last ...

Re: How can I audition Klangedangs in the US?
Very interesting information. Thank you for sharing. By now means have I committed to getting a new speaker, I just have come to appreciate the idea of a musical 2 way speaker more than ever. So I forgot just how expensive Sonus Fabers standmounts are. Id like to audition some other brand 2 way spea...

Re: Tukans vs. 242 mkII..??
Ok fellow members, I’m thinking of going down a different path perhaps. I just sold my KCT to a fellow Lejonklou forum member who lives 30 min from me. The price I paid for this amp and what I sold it for after 12 years of use was amazing. I’ve been listening to tukans on a very temporary speaker st...

Re: Tukans vs. 242 mkII..??
Charlie, Checking the individual drivers is a great idea. To your point who knows if supertweeter isn’t working. None of our hearing is getting better as we get older. So to be clear, simply removing all plates and plugging the speaker cable into each individual drive unit to test that unit is safe ...

Is this possible and safe?
So I have the older LK style magic integrated pre-and power amplifier. There is a headphone jack on the front of the unit. I’ve always wanted to know how things would sound with headphones for my current system. Can I simply connect the magic integrated to my climax control and then plug the headpho...

Tukans vs. 242 mkII..??
So I’ve been thinking of selling a few pieces that simply down get enough use. I had someone express interest in my walnut Tulane. So, I took them out of bedroom, cleaned them and literally took the K400 out of my 242s and plugged them into the Tukans. The Tukans were placed on the carpeted floor, a...

Re: Loudspeaker Design
So I’m afraid to comment here and have no experience with these speakers and Linn/Lejonklou products, but something about Sonus Fabers I’ve always liked. The furniture look of the cabinets and the leather as well.. I’m not referring to their crazy priced speakers (I think they now have models well o...

Re: Is your Kandid dirty also?
Thank you everyone for your input and information. With my ekos dual set to Zero I was able to get the arm to float perfectly level using the counterweight. I’m now dialed in on the arm at 1.5 which is 1.76 on my scale. As I mentioned earlier it’s still making great music. I posted more recent pics ...
