Ok here we go, hope I don´t interrupt previous session. This is two two wallshelfs I use for my LP12 named left and right. Need help to decide which one that is best. Re: Playground for practical listening exercices

Not sure what you're changing but, using B as the reference, it sounds a little clipped, almost staccato... A flows better but a bit too much that it almost seems to blend into one & looses impact... not sure I like either, but would pick A if I had to go with the flow... Comparing B & C is much eas...

Kazoo doesn't work well for me but did notice that a new version of upmpdcli was released, just yesterday, to fix issues with Kazoo - if they haven't already I'd expect SnakeOil to update soon with the latest version soon so check for updates. Otherwise, I have found BubbleDS to be stable where Kazo...

Yes, I meant the last line - it actually works now. The final step was embarrassingly basic; I juste needed to reboot the nas after I’d loaded music onto it. Minimserver default is to rescan the library when it is started, including after a reboot. That's almost certainly what got it working after ...

I don't think it's much but, if you're in the US, give Tom a call at Overture Audio, Ann Arbor for all things Lejonklou, and much more :)

Re: What to match with a Majik DSM3

Have you thought about a used Tundra Stereo instead of a Majik 2100? Latest spec is 2.5, but even a v1.x Tundra will walk all over a 2100, and reveal more of what the ADSM is doing.

Re: HAKAI NAS

If you have a friendly IT department, ask them to clean the ssd and create a single primary partition. Then, if you connect the ssd directly to your pc via a usb-sata adapter, you can use Windows' Disk Management to format the ssd to NTFS and copy your music files to it while it's attached... That w...

Good because I preferred AA this time too, fractionally. I thought it'd be easier without the sub... Apparently not :)

Re: Playground for practical listening exercices

Glass behind the speakers would tend to reduce the effective bass, wouldn't it? There seems to be some decent bass in the clips, which makes me wonder if it's the integration of the sub... maybe it needs just a tweak to gel completely with the Gaio 2.4 upgrade (correct phase on the Gaio, of course ;)

Re: Playground for practical listening exercices

A is more flat, like flat line, no up down, no emotions ... Yes, it does seem that way at first listening but I think we are being fooled by something else. I actually hear it as a more forceful sound in the room with A when listening more than once. But this is what makes these clips interesting. ...
