If you go by the traditional rules, the effective mass of the Rega arm is too low for the Denon 103, so you will probably loose some bass performance. It wouldn't be my first (or second) choice for a Rega 3. What is your budget? If you definitely want an MC cartridge, maybe an Audio Technica AT33EV ...

The problem with iphones is getting a decent signal to an external DAC. I've had no success. Really, I have no problems there. Of these clips, strangely enough, I prefer clip no. 1.

I have far better experiences with the Kabers, a friend had them first active with LK100, which was pretty ok for the time. With 3 x LK280 + Spark they really came on song and we had a lot of fun listening very loud until late in the night.
