Radikal beats everything, a entry level LP12 with Radikal is better than top LP12 with Lingo.

But I you could prove the same with the Keel, before Radikal was introduced.

I think your hearing might improve when visual perceptions decline with less light in your listening environment during evening/night.

I think I listened to the Harbeth hl-p3es-2, about two years ago. I sounds good, but doesn't pitch as well as the Linn speakers, think we compared with Ninkas or katan.

Cellphones still make a difference... remember from listening to the keel upgrade for the first time. But still of course you can live with it, though leaving cellphones/computers in another room gives you a more relaxing listening experience.

But still cellphones degrades your hifi.

yesterday I made a test: I ripped the hardcore way (terminal mode) with cdparanoia on my Mac. I then converted with the highest compression (8) using flac in terminal mode. I also imported wave file with Itunes (with error correction) with the same results as with cdparanoia. I then converted the sa...

Linnofil: you need to make the flac from the same wave-file, to compare. But the flac part of the software should be the same in both cases.

It should be the same, flac is flac. The difference is the compression, it takes the encoder (ripping software) more time to make the file smaller. In flac you can set the compression from 1-8, where 1 is fastest with a large file, and 8 smallest file but with the longest encoding time. But when pla...

I don't know. Of course it's a matter of taste, quite simply it's a bit like the Naim side of Linn. I like it right now. My setup is not bad in tunedem with the Kans. But the Unik is clearly better than the Kans in that respect.

I might add that the kans is in my view excellent in presenting music. I can't really explain but I think newer Linn speakers does this differently (better tunedem) but something is lacking. I'm thinking that Linn might found limitations down this route and altered their way of designing speakers. T...
