Re: New bases 242
Can’t help on the difference between the older 2 piece bases and the new single piece bases as I installed the single piece bases with the speakers. What I can say is to make sure you have the correct size Allen key to hand. I got caught out on this one, I didn’t have the correct key on installation...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercices
Seems crazy but I’ve also found that mm adjustments make a big difference in my room. I took a couple of weeks on and off to tune dem, found the optimum, finalised the position then just got on with enjoying the music.

Re: Suggestions.. please.
I went from Ekos 2 to Ekos SE with no other changes. Immediate improvement in sonics and musicality. Was it worth the financial outlay? To me it certainly was. I did the change to integrate the ‘deck as a system. I think the Keel, Ekos SE and Kandid were designed to work as a system. The Radikal pro...

Re: Klimax Kontrol and and Akurate Radikal
My thoughts on going from Radikal Akurate case to Klimax case with no other changes. It’s not a massive jump but I do believe it lets me hear more of the music. The noise floor seems to be reduced and there is more subtlety revealed. Sibilants were never an issue previously but more notable now by i...

Klimax Kontrol and and Akurate Radikal
I have had the KK for around 4 years. It is one of the most fundamental upgrades I’ve implemented in my system. It’s so musical. I’ve now replaced with a Klimax DSM/KAT. It is the MK1 variant with twin mono boards and Dynamik from new. The unit functions superbly, it is in silver and completely unma...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercices
Option 2 for me. Sounds like two different systems.
Talking about The Shads and sound quality. There farewell gig DVD in Cardiff; the sound quality is epic, this was setup and production was done by someone who really knows his craft. IMHO

Re: EVENTS
Glad to hear you are on the mend Thomas. System promises to be a musical revaluation, I can imagine the Singularities peeling back layers of music and being reproduced by the electrostatics. Excellent speaker choice. Would really like to hear the Singularity in the UK if the opportunity comes along....

Re: LP12 Radikal problem
Further to my earlier post, here are some photos documenting my implementation addressing the Radikal/Tramp foot issue. A few points to note are: 1. The Balsa strips seem to be in contact with the Tramp foot; in fact they are not in contact, its down to camera angle. 2. The Urika cabling as shown wa...

Re: Tony Tune-age System
I also have a Khan plate and I found strong resistance on the paper test as reported in a separate thread. I will check and report on my plinth height, it’s a 2014 Oak Linn.
I think I also have some photos that I took to document the mod. Will try to look them out.

Can you clarify your understanding of Radikal Version 2?
I didn’t know there was a new version.

Re: LP12 Radikal problem
I followed this thread from the beginning. I did the paper test as described and found substantial resistance indicating a foul between the Radikal motor base and the Tranp foot. I was very careful to place the paper correctly before closing the Tramp. Following Thomas guidance I carried out install...

Hello. New member
Ian Wilkinson former member of the Linn Forum. Thank you for admission to the forum. I’m a long time observer and now first poster. Although my system is all Linn, I do admire the concept and implementation of Lejonklou products and the Tune Dem for optimisation of equipment for the most musical eff...
