Re: Recommended network components
" Wondering if the default settings vary by region? " It's even possible that units sold in the same region can have different default settings. It all depends on which version of firmware the GS308T is shipped with. Now let's hope that for example firmware version 1.0.5.7 is responding to the tweak...

YT video comparing 11 network switches.

And I'm curious which one ya'll prefer. ----------------------- OK, so here's a youtube video comparing 11 different network switches. https://youtu.be/8HNMMksiD_Q ..It's almost too many for my brain to process...

Re: Video about 10 iconic turntables.
That's the reason my first turntable was an Axis! When demoed I got to compare it to a Planar 3, and it didn't take long to decide. The turntable pecking order in the 80s were a Dual (can't remember the model, sorry), the Planar 3, then the Axis and lastly the LP12. I do remember each step up was al...

Yeah I was nitpicking. Your NAD is already at a level where it's fun to listen to music.
So what things did you change between the last 3 clips? Because whatever you did it had quite an impact.

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises
Cd4 is really good! If I dare to nitpick, the LP still has a nice sway to the rhythm that the CD is missing.
Maybe it can be contributed to the LP and CD being mastered differently?
Anyways. This is a big improvement in only a few days. Good job!

Cd3 is best so far and I hear more interplay between the musicians. Not at the level of the LP12 but it's getting there.

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises
I was talking about the sealant for the tweeter and woofer. Thought it was glue but since it's silicon and therefor elastic then torquing would still be possible and worth doing. right? And yes, I do remember the Linn tight mantra. We've progressed quite a bit since then. It could have been a good i...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises
They can, and probably will improve over time while the unserviced pair can only get worse. I know which ones I would pick ;) I have to ask. Is the glue used to secure the elements stiff or a bit elastic? If it's the latter you could experiment with the torquing, which I still suspect is the biggest...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises
I'm hearing potential in the serviced Kans! They did things with more nuance compared to the unserviced. It's just right now they seem to hold back. You should let them play lots of music, perhaps check the torquing of the drivers if you haven't, and later post a new recording to compare. Good luck!...

In the beginning I did prefer A, but the more I listen B is just better.
And guys, make sure the video quality is set to 1080p HD. It makes a difference to the clarity and flow of the song.

Here's a second opinion. I think the later clips sounds great!
So, what changes did you make this time?
(Edit: To clarify. I presumed they're in a A,B,A,B order and with later I meant the B's.)

Re: Källa firmware upgrade - postponed
I don't know much about coding firmware but hear me out. Would it be possible to split the different features into separate parts? We would get a menu when starting up Källa and chose a mode with the feature we need. It would then run a smaller amount of code compared to the whole package and possib...

B got a nice energy and drive to it while D appear to have more feeling.
I can't pick a winner when listening to the clips but both are really good.

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Remember: Even if it prioritize sound quality before power it can still play louder than most amps before distorting. Myself I'm using a Boazu + Totem Dreamcatcher combo and can't be happier. It's lots of fun and got drive even at very low volumes. Won't it be easier to make a list of the few speake...
