Re: Understanding what a good rack needs to deliver
Thank you Tendaberry its funny I just did that and saw that Anders has a new rack called TRUD and its two different thicknesses of birch laminated together. It should sound more harmonic than Oden and Tor and Mimer K? which would be quite an achievement. I already finished my rack yesterday which is...

Re: Culprit - The phono stage?
hey lindsay its obviously a nice balance to have someone who has a different opinion. But your recommendations have an issue you mostly compare new bought products (Linn Majik LP12) to used products for the reason of value for money. That is not a fair apples to apples comparison. You can either com...

Re: Understanding what a good rack needs to deliver
thank you all for your contribution. I am right now working on my self made rack. Realizing how the many things make a difference makes me understand how important a good rack/support is. That made me also read into Harmoni. Is there meanwhile a consensus what performs better - the Tor (full bredd) ...

thank you for your feedback and its nice to have confirmation to what I hear - Clip 2 feels more „in the face“ or etched to me too.

here is another test to improve my support/rack for the Sagatun before I go on with the next level. Any difference at all? for the better or for worst? Re: Hermanns System
o.k. we compared Tundra on the same strip (Clip 1) vs. only Tundra on the other strip (Clip 2) Both Sagatun Monos have been on the same strip right? Since I had the feeling that was the best musicality which I heard from your system with the Sagatun Monos I assume the Linn Silvers (slotted) you now ...

Re: Hermanns System

Re: Lejonklou and Harbeth?
I dont have a Akurate DSM but a Akurate DS/Katalyst - I used the DVC to test out if I can live with it but could not. It sounded transparent and detailed but without flesh and musicality - I might be over exagerating but I think it robs the soul of the music. However to be fair we also have users he...

mmh Hermann now it would have been better that it would be a blind test without knowing which was which because you might think there is expectation bias involved.

Re: Hermanns System
I don’t deserve credit for the recommendation to put the Sagatun Monos first into the power strip as thats an original recommendation from Fredrik and even found in his documents. There was a lot of testing about that in the Playground - most preferred Sagatun Mono first than Radikal than PhonoPre a...

here I dont agree with you Matthias - everyone needs to find their own happiness.
There is always the chance to have a lucky punch and find a musical product but its maybe less likely.

Re: Hermanns System
here is what I hear - the Vermöuth cable seem to sound more clear and precise - the Linn cable sounds like there is a halo around some notes. Initially the Vermöuth sounded more relaxed to me but with respect to musicality I am not 100% sure if its better than the Linn.

Re: Hermanns System
yes thats one promising step to try ... as Fredrik said - order in the Power Strip: Sagatun Monos first (Single Source input, flip down and upper output for the connection to Tundra) closest to the Fuse than Radikal/LP12 than Entity than Tundra (Tundra at the same power strip/Fuse) last device ... m...
