Re: Tony Tune-age System

Greetings, After approximately five weeks, the Klimax Radikal 2 upgrade seems to be completely burned-in now. However the Ekstatik cartridge still hasn't completely burned-in yet, but it is sounding much better. So below are two music links, both are the same album and same song, but each link has a...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp

A nice and elaborated review on Boazu has just been posted on PF: (thanks to Hans for the heads up) https://positive-feedback.com/reviews/hardware-reviews/boazu-integrated-amplifier/ That certainly is a nice review, especially since the Ongaku integrated amplifier is priced at $79,350.00 and the Bo...

Re: Like button

There is no "like button" readily available, but there are some extensions that are possible to add. For instance one is called 'Thanks for posts' and another 'PostLove'. The question is whether the positive consequences of adding such a feature outweigh the negative ones. I am skeptical. Forum mem...

Re: vinyl tunefulness

Received an original copy of the "Grand Funk We're an American Band" vinyl album as a gift, and it's in pristine condition (Capitol record label, 1973 and Todd Rundgren was the producer). Plus the cover is still in good condition, although not perfect. It's been even more enjoyable to play, since up...

Re: vinyl tunefulness

In addition to an original copy of the "Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here" album, I have a half speed mastered copy as well. And needless to say, it's simply hideous. In fact it's the worst sounding half speed mastered album I've ever heard. I was going to give it away or sell it, but decided to keep ...

Although not an original copy, it's still very musical and very enjoyable. "Merl Saunders, Jerry Garcia, John Kahn, Bill Vitt, Live at Keystone" (Fantasy Records label, July 1973).

Re: Platter Damping (split from: The LP12 just got better (again))

Thank you Tom, Fredrik and Pete for your impressions, conclusions and suggestions. My impressions this week are that the performance of my Lenco has more ‘body’’ and i’m aware of more details too, all integral as a whole. It is like churchbells chiming during the day you ‘re not hearing or aware of...

I picked-up an original release of "Emerson Lake & Palmer Works" album - Volume 2, in mint condition and at a very good price as well (1977 Atlantic Recording Corporation). It is very musical, although not considered to be their most popular album. However, the song "I Believe In Father Christmas" i...

This might be the best sounding Moody Blues album (or one of their best) that I've heard. However, I haven't heard them all either.

"Days of Future Passed Moody Blues" with the London Festival Orchestra, conducted by Peter Knight.

In spite of being a blue and red piece of vinyl, this particular Jimi Hendrix album is very musical. Apparently it's a first ever release on vinyl from a 1967 Olympia Theater live performance in Paris France. The album does weigh 150 grams, and is mastered by George Marino (Sony Music Entertainment)...

I was fortunate to find this album used but in mint condition, except for the cover which is a little worn. "Grace Slick & The Great Society - Collectors Item from the San Francisco Scene." Nice! You have some of his best albums there, enjoy! Agreed, that's a very nice collection indeed Springwood. I've been able to get most of my Neil Young albums used, in either excellent or mint condition for very low prices. Of course a few were purchased new, but they costed a lot more. Cheers

Some are already mentioned regarding other records of the band. Above all, IMHO, of course Tago Mago. Spotify or other streami...

Sorry to hear about the flood water damage to your vinyl albums Catweazle. That's never an easy situation to clean up, or get corrected. But you do have a great attitude towards this unexpected accident. And at least the albums can be cleaned fairly easy, and the record sleeves can be easily replace...
